Service and Support Administrators (SSAs) assist more than 1,700 people with developmental disabilities throughout Stark County, connecting them with the supportive services they need. Advocating for the rights and interests of eligible individuals, SSAs help families navigate the various resources available to them. SSA roles & responsibilities

According to Stark DD, SSAs are required to provide support in the following areas:

  • Basic needs information and referrals
  • Crisis intervention and 24/7 emergency services
  • Funding for families caring for a loved one at home
  • Goal setting and transition planning
  • Monitoring to ensure service compliance
