Housing Permanent Supportive Housing - Long-term, community-based housing, which includes supportive services for homeless people with disabilities Affordable Housing Program - generally defined as housing on which the occupant is paying no more than 30 percent of gross income for housing costs, including utilities Rapid Re-Housing Program - An intervention that quickly connects families and individuals experiencing homelessness to permanent housing Services PATH Outreach - Outreach Specialists identify and engage people who are experiencing homelessness Workforce Development - help people with serious mental health conditions enter and succeed in the competitive labor market Supportive Services - Housing Support Specialists provide supportive services for people experiencing homelessness, who have disabilities and reside in permanent supportive housing

Ohio's PRC Program

Ohio’s Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) program provides work support, and other services, to help low-income parents overcome immediate barriers to employment. It is funded through the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. Those receiving assistance from other public assistance programs also may be eligible for PRC services. United Way of Greater Stark County

Offers an Auto Repair Program through a partnership with Department of Job & Family Services Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) to help individuals file free tax returns Auto Repair Program A partnership between United Way of Greater Stark County and Department of Job & Family Services to help employed parents pay for car repairs to get back on the road. The program offers up to $1,500 in assistance to pay for services performed by ASE-certified mechanics.
  • Must be currently employed or enrolled in college full time
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must have minor child in the home or pay child support for minor child
