Auto Repair Program

A partnership between United Way of Greater Stark County and Department of Job & Family Services to help employed parents pay for car repairs to get back on the road. The program offers up to $1,500 in assistance to pay for services performed by ASE-certified mechanics.

  • Must be currently employed or enrolled in college full time
  • Must be age 18 or older
  • Must have minor child in the home or pay child support for minor child

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

A service from United Way of Greater Stark County that utilizes IRS-certified volunteers to help individuals file tax returns for free, looking for all possible deductions and credits. Annual household income must be $60,000 or less.
