Patrice M. (Patti) Fetzer

Patrice M. (Patti) Fetzer, LISW-S, is the Director of Prevention for the Stark County Educational Service Center. Patti has been transforming agency, county, and state practices centered on System of Care principles and evidence based mental health care for 30 years. Key accomplishments include the NEOMED Project ECHO partnership, Stark County’s SAMHSA System of Care Expansion planning; advancing Cultural & Linguistic Competency and Trauma Informed Care; advancing school-based behavioral health in partnership with the iCARE initiative; piloting the Crisis Text Line partnership in Stark and partnering to bring it to scale statewide; implementing Stark County’s Mental Illness/Developmental Disabilities (MI/DD) Consultation Team; and serving as a Transition to Independence Process (TIP) model national trainer, consultant, and fidelity assessor. Patti is co-author of a SAMHSA sponsored paper entitled “The Integration of Early Psychosis Services in a System of Care Framework: Opportunities, Issues, and Recommendations” (April, 2018); a position paper for the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services entitled “Paving the Way for a New Day for Young Adults in Ohio’s Mental Health System” (2008); and a book chapter, “Driving the System Through Young Adult Involvement and Leadership,” Transition to Adulthood: A Resource for Assisting Young People with Emotional or Behavioral Difficulties, Clark, H.B. & Davis, M. (2000). Patti obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology from Walsh College in 1991 and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Akron in 2001. Patti and her husband Mark are lifetime residents of North Canton and proud parents of Jeremy, a musician and graphic designer in Nashville and Allison, a middle school teacher. She recently became a proud Nana to two adorable granddaughters, Romy and Lily. Patti’s inspiration comes from family; numerous “balcony people” in her life; yoga and nature; and singing each Sunday at Christ the Servant Parish.
