Apprisen/Consumer Credit Counseling Midwest

Provides assistance with:
  • Personal financial management, including structured repayment programs
  • Improving credit management and offering services that provide financial education and guidance
  • Required certification for bankruptcy
Also, a HUD-approved housing counseling agency providing mortgage delinquency counseling and assistance in preparing for homeownership.

Community Building Partnership

Community Building Partnership of Stark County, Inc. (CBP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing neighborhoods throughout Stark County. CBP empowers residents to improve their homes, build financial stability, and strengthen community connections through a variety of free programs and services. CBP’s Healthy Neighborhoods Programs support neighborhood pride, stability, and reinvestment through: Aultman Area Programming – connecting residents and partners to strengthen the neighborhoods surrounding Aultman Hospital. Canton Exterior Renovation Grant Program – providing financial rebate for exterior home improvements that enhance curb appeal. Code Enforcement Repair Program – helping eligible homeowners address code violations and maintain safe, compliant homes. Stark County Neighborhood Partnership Program – supporting the formation and growth of neighborhood associations across the county. CBP’s Housing Counseling Programs help residents achieve and maintain successful homeownership through education, individualized counseling, and financial support opportunities, including: Aultman Area Down Payment Assistance – offering homebuyers in the Aultman area financial support toward down payments and closing costs. Canton City Down Payment Assistance – providing eligible Canton residents with funds to help make homeownership more affordable. Credit & Budget Counseling – assisting individuals in developing healthy financial habits and personalized spending plans. Financial Fitness Workshops – offering group sessions focused on money management, debt reduction, and long-term financial planning. First-Time Homebuyers Workshop – educating future homeowners on the buying process, budgeting, and maintaining a successful home.

Through these free programs, Community Building Partnership helps residents invest in themselves, their homes, and the future of their neighborhoods.

Goodwill Industries

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. has been serving the local community for more than 100 years as an independent Goodwill affiliate. While most people recognize Goodwill as a retail thrift chain, that is only a portion of the Goodwill mission. Goodwill is a nonprofit, social service agency dedicated to improving the lives of all people by providing skill-building programs and services needed to help remove common barriers to good jobs and independence. At Goodwill, it is our job to help individuals overcome barriers to getting and keeping good jobs. Our employment skills programming boils down to two key areas: Pre-employment Training and Job Placement Services. Other Ways We Can Help: Social Services Provides assistance to individuals in navigating and connecting to community resources. Financial Literacy Offers financial education on topics related to personal finances. Literacy Services Assists adults in overcoming reading and math obstacles. COMPASS Sexual Assault, Prevention & Support services for women, children and men who are survivors of rape or sexual abuse. Learn more here. Home-Based Parenting Program Provides education and real-life application with support in the parents’ own home.
