Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)/ Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) – Representing the rights and interests of abused, neglected and dependent children in Stark County.

Tiqvah Hands of Hope is an after-school program serving at-risk students in grades 1-12 within Stark County and the surrounding areas. Tiqvah provides meals and snacks, homework and academic assistance, enrichment opportunities, character development, mentorship, counseling, personal care and hygiene items, spiritual development, clothing boutiques, and social development for students within the program. Tiqvah is offered free of charge to families.

The Stark County ESC had its inception in 1914 with the establishment by the Ohio Legislature of county boards of education.

Currently, the ESC provides shared services to 15 local and 6 city school districts, 1 exempted village, and one career center in Stark, Carroll, Summit, and Tuscarawas counties.  Together these districts enroll over 60,000 students.

The Stark County ESC is experienced in meeting the needs of a diverse population of students. 

The Stark County Homeless Navigation Hotline (330-452-4363) refers eligible callers to appropriate shelters and other programs for households that meet the HUD definition of literally homeless after conducting an eligibility interview Monday – Friday 7am to 5:30 pm and Saturdays 10am to 2pm (except holidays). Homeless Navigation maintains a current listing of available shelter beds throughout Stark County, and works with mental health agencies, hospitals, law enforcement, alcohol and drug treatment centers, and the courts to prevent discharge into homelessness.

Harm Reduction Supply Vending Machine – In collaboration with the Stark County Mental Health and Addiction Board (StarkMHAR), Refuge of Hope, The Massillon City Health Department, and The Alliance Commons we have implemented Harm Reduction Vending Machines throughout Stark County Ohio. Items in the machines include overdose reversal medicine, drug test strips, wound care kits, first aid kits, safe sex kits, PPE, and sharps containers.

Restore Addiction Recovery is a Christ-centered, Biblically-based, and Clinically-Supported 12-month residential program for men struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction. Our services are free and no insurance is needed to join. While in our program, men receive individualized care, including but not limited to: 1-1 counseling, life coaching and life skills, job training and employment through our community work program, mentorship, financial coaching, healthy community, and more. Our goal is to prepare each man for life outside of our doors and have lasting freedom from addiction.

Lifecare Family Health & Dental Center provides affordable, accessible and comprehensive health care services to residents of Canton, Massillon and surrounding Stark County Ohio communities. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), open to persons of all ages regardless of ability to pay and health insurance status. New patients are always welcome. We accept Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans. Reduced rates are available for qualifying uninsured patients. Lifecare’s dedicated team of family physicians,
