With three full-time educational audiologists serving students across 16 school districts, Stark County is committed to providing hearing conservation, assessment, assistive technology, consultation and follow-up services to all local students. In addition to its regular school programming, the SCESC audiology department offers a SPEAK program (Stark Project for Educating Audition in Kids) for children ages 3 to 5 and a Hit It! (Hearing Impaired Teens Interacting Together) support group for teens who have experienced hearing loss. Canton City Schools also offer an audiological services program with classrooms, assessments and other educational supports.
The Stark County Educational Service Center (SCESC) provides a range of educational supports for students with developmental disabilities. To learn about the services available, contact the SCESC or reach out to your local school district directly.
